Bridport Walking Track
This iconic track provides an 11 km circuit that incorporates four distinct walking environments; river, forest, foreshore and wildflowers!
It is a unique circuit that can be easily walked by young and old, with various entry and exit points – as shown in the aerial photograph below. It is made up of the following sections:
- The History-Foreshore Walk is a 4.1 km track that showcases Bridport’s spectacular natural foreshore. Bridport’s fascinating past is interpreted along the track from the Old Pier to the end of Main Street. It is an easy level of difficulty.
- The River-Forest Walk is 4.68 km track that passes through a variety of landscapes, such as tidal flats, river reserve and forests. Points of interest include the water supply interpretation, and vegetation regeneration. It is a medium level of difficulty.
- The Wildflower Reserve Walk is a 2.3 km track through a protected 50 hectare natural reserve of heath, wetland, sedgeland and woodland. Spectacular native wildflowers and ocean views are featured. It is an easy-medium level of difficulty.
