Whether it’s a cooling dip in sparkling clear water, a stroll along the beaches or foreshore walking tracks, or just stretching out, relaxing and building sand castles with the kids, Bridport beaches have it all – and on your choice of beach! Sheltered sandy beaches are dotted along the foreshore, with rock pools galore to explore. There are even surf beaches as well!
Safe swimming, sailing and fishing, boat ramps, and public conveniences are all on offer. And all located within a short drive of golfing, wineries, mountain bike trails, and the famous Bridestowe Lavender Estate!
With foreshore camping and caravan sites available right by the beach at the Bridport Holiday Park, you’re only steps away from sand, sea and sun… and if you’re getting peckish or need a coffee, it’s only a short stroll to Bridport’s Main Street café scene or you could grab some fresh fish’n’chips and picnic on the beach!
Bridport Surf Lifesaving Club patrols some beaches from 10 am – 3 pm on weekends and public holidays (December to March) – you will see flagged beaches – and runs Nippers on Sundays from 11 am at Gofton’s Beach.
Kids, families, couples, seniors – its a great place to holiday!
While elsewhere in Tasmania people are tucking up by the fire and going into winter hibernation, North East Tasmania comes alive to celebrate and showcase local arts and crafts annually on the June long weekend.
