North East Tasmania enjoys a lovely cool temperate climate, with the distinctfour seasons throughout the year.

The average annual rainfall in the Scottsdale area is approximately 983 mm, but it is much higher in our more mountainous areas.  

Our district has long daylight hours in summer (maximum 15 hours and 10 minutes) with warm summer temperatures (mean monthly maximum 21.8 degrees in February) and cool winters (mean monthly minimum 3.6 degrees in July).

The coastal town of Bridport averages a mean annual rainfall of approximately 732 mm, with a mean maximum summer temperature of 22.2 degrees in February and a milder mean minimum of 5.4 degrees in July.
