The garden is at it’s best in Spring time with the azalias, camellias and rhododendrons in full bloom. A feature of our garden is the dry stone walls and Greggs creation of a beach area with “boat”. Old machinery can also be found within the garden.
His and hers museums are of interest to those who love “old things” or the history of the Dorset area. In the “his” museum you will find many photos of the North East. Restored tools and items of interest for the menfolk should keep them busy while the ladies view the fashions from bygone eras in the “hers” museum.
Garden & Museums – admission $5.00 per adult, children free. Bookings by appointment.
While elsewhere in Tasmania people are tucking up by the fire and going into winter hibernation, North East Tasmania comes alive to celebrate and showcase local arts and crafts annually on the June long weekend.
