Annual Arts Festival

While elsewhere in Tasmania people are tucking up by the fire and going into winter hibernation, North East Tasmania comes alive to celebrate and showcase local arts and crafts annually on the June long weekend.

Our region is home to a rich, vibrant arts community, with a long history of successful artists, performers and events.

The widely known North Eastern Arts & Crafts Annual Exhibition has been going for more than 40 years, and the Dorset County Quilters have been exhibiting for more than 20 years. Considering the success and longevity of these two events, it is little wonder that an entire festival with exhibitions, markets, demonstrations, workshops, competitions, concerts and stories has grownm, and is now celebrated across the district annually on the June long weekend.

So grab a jacket, leave the fire behind and be warmed by the welcome here in North East Tasmania!
