Call in to 32A George Street in Scottsdale to see it for yourself!
And if you’re lucky you will find one of the local volunteers on hand, who are more than happy to talk you through the many different exhibits. Children are able to climb into the helicopter, and photographs can be taken from all angles. Descriptive labels on the displays tell incredible stories, from the family bible returning ‘home’ to Tasmania, to the cuckoo clock that was mistaken for a bomb… An incredible collection of military history.
Admission: $5.00 for adults (children 16 years and under are free). Note, no EFTPOS facilities available, cash only.
Open: Daily from 10 am to 4 pm, but winter hours are shortened according to demand.
While elsewhere in Tasmania people are tucking up by the fire and going into winter hibernation, North East Tasmania comes alive to celebrate and showcase local arts and crafts annually on the June long weekend.
