Spend time at the new and exciting Tin Centre.  A multi media presentation allows you to experience the epic story of the Tin Rush and the Chinese and European miners who sought their fortune. Discover why Napoleon is in Derby. Find out how miners hosed away mountains. Learn about the metal that can defy gravity. After all that you can relax in one of Derby’s many cafés.

Derby boasts the oldest wooden bank building in Australia, now incorporating an art gallery and Chinese Heritage Room.

Take a river walk and look out for platypus, pause for a picnic or BBQ at the park on the Ringarooma River or at the Cascade Dam and River (take the Cascade Dam Road off the A3).

The North East Rivers Festival happens in late October – be a part of the madness and mayhem – fun for all the family!
